New Delhi, Dec 13 (Inditop) Polling was under way Saturday in Delhi’s Rajinder Nagar assembly constituency where elections were postponed after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate committed suicide.Polling in the constituency, with an electorate of 120,000, was moved to this month after the candidate and outgoing legislatorPuran Chand Yogi died just before Delhi went to the polls Nov 29.

There are 12 candidates in the fray but the main fight is expected to be among the BJP, Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party. The BJP has fielded Yogi’s widow Asha Yogi.

Yogi faces Trilok Chand Sharma of BSP and Bhagwan Das of the Congress. But the result will have little consequence for the BJP as the Congress has bagged 42 seats in the 70-member Delhi Assembly.
