New Delhi, Jan 12 (Inditop.com) Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari Tuesday said the process was “still on” in the impeachment motion against Karnataka High Court Chief Justice P.D. Dinakaran.
In December last year, Ansari had accepted a notice served by 75 members of the Rajya Sabha seeking the removal of Justice Dinakaran for alleged corrupt practices.
As per rules, a three-member committee will examine the notice and rule on whether or not it should be discussed in the Rajya Sabha.
“The (people) on the committee will be the nominees of the chairman of the Rajya Sabha. It is being done pursuant to Judges Enquiry Act and the process is on,” Ansari told reporters on board the special aircraft while returning to Delhi from his seven-day three-nation trip to Africa.
