Kolkata, Aug 31 (IANS) Trinamool Congress leader and former railways minister Dinesh Trivedi Friday accused a senior police officer of behaving rudely with him and lodged a complaint with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.

The incident happened at the office of the Barrackpore Police Commissioner Sanjay Singh where Trivedi had gone to enquire about the progress of investigation into the murder of a party councillor.
“A very bad indecent incident took place in the office of the police commissioner of Barrackpore today (Friday). He behaved very rudely with me and refused to speak to me on the plea of attending a meeting with the transport minister (Madan Mitra) at Writers’ Buildings,” said Trivedi.
He said he had complained to Banerjee about Singh’s behaviour.
“I just wanted to know from Singh why there was no action taken in the murder of Titagarh councilor Anand Sharma who was shot at a few days ago. I suspect police involvement is there,” alleged Trivedi, the MP from Barrackpore.
Singh, however, denied the charges.
