New Delhi, Feb 5 (IANS) Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj had demanded that question hour be suspended on Wednesday so that the issues faced by people from the northeast can be discussed, BJP legislator Anurag Thakur said.
“Sushma-ji has written (to Speaker Meira Kumar) and asked for the supsension of the question hour so that the issues faced by the people from northeast can be discussed,” Anurag Thakur told reporters outside parliament house.
Thakur, who is also the president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, added: “They face these kind of problem everyday and for years they have been facing it. I think it is very important to discuss and debate the issue concerning the northeast and come to a conclusion on how to tackle the issue.”
Thakur’s comments after the Lok Sabha was adjourned till noon on the opening day of parliament’s resumed winter session after opposition MPs created a ruccus on a variety of issues.
