Chandigarh, July 1 (IANS) Delaying the disbursement of social security pensions in Haryana can lead to officials facing action, a minister said here Friday.
Taking a tough stand against officials taking the matter casually, Haryana Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Geeta Bhukkal said the responsibility for delay in disbursement of pensions would be fixed, both at the headquarters and the district level, and stern action would be taken against those found guilty.
Bhukkal said: ‘Stern action will be taken against officers found guilty and even
FIRs (first information reports) will be registered against them. This is necessary to ensure fair and timely distribution of pension being given under various social security schemes.’
She said that to bring transparency in the distribution of different social security pensions, the state government has introduced electronic payment transfer system under which money was being directly credited to the bank account of the beneficiaries.
