Chennai, April 16 (Inditop) AIADMK chief J. Jayalalithaa will be setting a trend in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry by flying to all the 40 Lok Sabha constituencies in a helicopter.
“This is the first time that a leader will be covering all the constituencies flying in a helicopter. Earlier leaders have used helicopters to cover a couple of constituencies,” AIADMK MP and parliamentary party leader V. Maitreyan told IANS.
According to him, Jayalalithaa will be covering two constituencies a day starting April 18 and conclude her campaign tour May 10. Polls to to the 39 seats in Tamil Nadu and one in Puducherry will take place May 13.
“We will be raising the issue of breakdown in law and order in Tamil Nadu, non performance of the central ministers from the state, internal security, betrayal of the Sri Lankan Tamils by the state and the central government and rise in price of essential items amongst others,” he said.
The candidates of AIADMK are expected to file their nominations April 20, an auspicious day.
