Lalgarh (West Bengal), April 4 (Inditop.com) Appealing to villagers of the Maoist-infested belt not to extend material or moral support to the left wing ultras, union Home Minister P. Chidambarm Sunday said he had mixed perceptions about the security operation in this West Midnapore district belt.
“I go back with a mixed perception. There are good points and weak points. The good point is the central and the state security forces have been able to arrest a number of people. The weak point is the Naxalites are still getting away by killing people.
“In 2010 so far, 65 civilians have been killed,” Chidambaram said after a three-hour visit to the area.
