Patna, May 4 (Inditop.com) After Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar began a march to seek people’s confidence, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad has planned one for himself to expose the government’s failures before the October-November assembly poll.
Nitish Kumar completed the first phase of his “Vishwas Yatra” (march to seek people’s confidence) last Sunday.
Lalu Prasad will start his march mid-May to counter the chief minister with a “Bhandaphor Yatra” (march to expose the state government).
RJD senior leader Ram Kirpal Yadav told IANS Tuesday: “Lalu Prasad will visit all districts, sub-divisions and blocks to expose the chief minister’s claims on development and good governance.”
Another RJD leader, Shakeel Ahmad Khan said the state government has failed to check migration, improve law and order and attract investment.
“Lalu Prasad will present the real situation before people during his march,” he said.
Yadav said the RJD has decided to target the false notion about development and good governance created by the chief minister in the last four-and-a-half years of his rule.
“The RJD is collecting data on development to expose Nitish Kumar’s claims,” he said.
Lalu Prasad has termed Nitish Kumar’s march as his last bid to say goodbye to people before his imminent ouster in the coming election.
However, the ruling Janata Dal-United’s state president Vijay Kumar Chowdhary said that Nitish Kumar’s march was successful due to tremendous public response.
