Ranchi, July 7 (Inditop.com) The special vigilance court here Tuesday directed the vigilance department to lodge a first information report (FIR) against former agriculture minister Nalin Soren and former agriculture director Nistar Minz in a corruption case.

The special vigilance court of Vinay Kant Khan Tuesday directed the vigilance department while hearing a petition charging Nalin Soren and Minz of amassing wealth beyond their known sources of income and misusing their positions.

Nalin Soren, a Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) legislator was the chief minister nominee of the party in January after Shibu Soren quit the chief minister’s post.

According to an official of the vigilance department, the FIR will be lodged after getting a copy of the court order.

Till now on the direction of the vigilance court, the vigilance department has lodged an FIR against former chief minister Madhu Koda and five former ministers — Enos Ekka, Harinarayan Rai, Kamlesh Singh, Bandhu Tirkey and Bhanu Pratap Sahi — in corruption cases.

The vigilance court has also issued arrest warrants against Ekka and Rai.
