New Delhi, Jan 18 (Inditop.com) While the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is arguing for the formation of smaller states like Telangana and Gorkhaland, the majority of those who participated in an online survey conducted by the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) say that the creation of smaller states is not helpful for the development of India.

Responding to a question on the RSS’ official website www.rss.org – “Is creation of smaller states helpful for the development of Bharat?”, 53.5 percent so far have voted against the formation of smaller states.

The remainder 46.5 percent voters said “yes” to the query posted. The first vote was marked Dec 12, 2009. Till Monday, a total of 767 people have marked their votes.

To another question, “Prime Minister’s Working Group has recommended autonomy for Jammu and Kashmir. Do you agree?”, 86.7 percent said “No”, while 13.3 percent said “yes”.

So far, 474 people have voted in response to this question.
