London, May 16 (Inditop) Indian-born industrialist Swraj Paul said Saturday the strong electoral verdict in favour of the Congress was a tribute to Manmohan Singh’s handling of the Indian economy.
“This was a vote for stability, integrity and for economic competence,” the steel magnate said.
“This is the first time Manmohan Singh had sought an election himself, and we all hope he will deliver on the people’s confidence in him.
“The first task in India, as in all other countries, is to get the economy going, and Manmohan Singh is the best man to do that.
“My congratulations to the people of India,” added Paul, who heads the Caparo Group of industries.
