New Delhi, Feb 3 (IANS) Passenger automobile major Maruti Suzuki on Wednesday unveiled its compact SUV (sports utility vehicle) Vitara Brezza.
The company showcased its new SUV at the ongoing Auto Expo 2016 being held here.
“Vitara Brezza is true to its category of a compact urban SUV,” said Kenichi Ayukawa, managing director and chief executive, Maruti Suzuki India.
“Built on a global Suzuki platform, Vitara Brezza has been conceptualized, designed and developed in India using Suzuki’s global development processes.”
According to the company, the new vehicle is expected to hit the Indian roads in about two months time.
The company said that the compact SUV has a localisation level of 98 percent. Vitara Brezza has been developed at a cost of Rs.860 crore.
“We believe this model appeals to Indian customers in its design, packaging and features. Vitara Brezza is Maruti Suzuki’s symbol of create in India.”
