Shimla, April 22 (IANS) Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh Tuesday said the way BJP was projecting its prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, it appeared that the party was considering him as a “remedy to cure all ills”.

“The way Modi is being projected by sidelining all other national leaders, it appears the BJP leaders are considering Modi as if he has a remedy to cure all ills,” the Congress leader said at an election rally in Sirmaur district.
“The fact is that Modi alone can’t come out with solutions to all problems,” he said.
Virbhadra Singh said history has witnessed that whenever the Congress has come to power in the state, it worked for overall and equitable development of all areas.
“It was Congress governments during which Sirmaur district witnessed rapid development. Our government has proposed to set up three medical colleges in the state out of which one would be opened in Nahan (in Sirmaur),” he said.
Virbhadra Singh said his government in the last one and half years has re-opened and upgraded more than 500 schools and 14 colleges.
He said the way BJP legislators boycotted the last assembly session, it seemed they had nothing to do with the development but they merely wanted to grab power by befooling the people.
Himachal Pradesh goes to the polls for its four Lok Sabha seats May 7.
