New Delhi, Oct 1 (Inditop.com) Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav will on Sunday launch the campaign for his daughter-in-law for the by-election to the Ferozabad Lok Sabha constituency in Uttar Pradesh, where she has been pitted against Bollywood veteran Raj Babbar of the Congress.

“Netaji (Mulayam Singh Yadav) will reach Ferozabad on Oct 4 to start the campaign for the by-poll,” Rajya Sabha MP of Samajwadi Party Kamal Akhter told Inditop. The poll date is yet to be announced.

Akhter also said: “Apart from Mulayam Singh Yadav, several other senior leaders like Shivpal Yadav, Ram Gopal Yadav and Amar Singh will also be there in Ferozabad to campaign for party candidate Dimple Yadav.”

By-elections will be held in Ferozabad because Dimple Yadav’s husband and sitting MP Akhilesh Yadav vacated the seat after he also won from Kannauj.

The Congress has nominated Bollywood actor Raj Babbar for the by-poll. Babbar joined the Congress after he was expelled from the Samajwadi Party in 2006.

He contested the April-May Lok Sabha polls from Fatehpur Sikri in Uttar Pradesh but lost to Seema Upadhyay of the Bahujan Samaj Party.
