Ranchi, May 17 (IANS) Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda and his wife Meera Munda, who were injured when their helicopter crash-landed here May 9, were Thursday discharged from a city hospital.
“Munda and his wife has been discharged from the hospital. He has to take four to five weeks’ rest,” Sanjay Kumar, a doctor at the Apollo Hospital, told reporters. He said a plaster has been cast on Munda’s right ankle.
A team of doctors will now monitor Munda’s health at his official residence, said a source.
The state cabinet meeting will also be held at the chief minister’s residence Friday.
Munda was on his way to Saraikela Kharsawa when his helicopter developed a snag and returned to Ranchi, crash-landing from a height of 25 feet and toppling over, injuring its six occupants.
