New Delhi, July 2 (IANS) Leaders of the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance are to meet Saturday evening to decide on the alliance’s stand on the Lokpal bill.

The meeting comes a day ahead of the all-party meeting called by the government to discuss the draft bill. The NDA leaders would discuss the two versions – of the government and civil society – of the anti-graft bill.

The BJP, while maintaining it is in support of a strong Lokpal, has not revealed its stand on key contentious issues of the bill.

While senior party leaders including L.K. Advani and Sushma Swaraj have backed inclusion of the prime minister within the ambit of the Lokpal, party general secretary Ravi Shankar Prasad said their stand will be decided after the meeting with NDA partners.

On Friday, Advani, Sushma Swaraj, Arun Jaitley, Murli Manohar Joshi, Jaswant Singh, Rajnath Singh, Ananth Kumar and Ravi Shankar Prasad met civil society members Anna Hazare, Arvind Kejriwal and Kiran Bedi.
