Agra, Oct 30 (IANS) The Agra-Delhi high speed train Gatiman Express, with a speed of 160 km per hour, is expected to start running around Nov 10 as the Kapurthala Rail Coach Factory is ready with the first rake of 17 coaches for the train, an official said Thursday.

The exact date will be announced by the Railway Board in New Delhi.
“The rake with 17 coaches, specially manufactured, will roll out from our factory during the first week of November,” an official of the Kapurthala Railway Coach Factory told IANS.
The work on its track has been continuing at a brisk pace. Two trials have been successful and one more trial is likely to be conducted early next week, said officials at the divisional railway office here.
A senior railway official said, “We are confident everything will be in place before Nov 10 as far as our preparations are concerned.”
The engineers had made changes to cope with the high speed by installing a smoke and fire detection system and automatic sliding doors in the train. A Wi-Fi system may also be installed, the official said.
The train will cover the distance between Agra and Delhi in around 90 minutes.
