Shimla, April 8 (Inditop.com) A Himachal Pradesh official has withdrawn a criminal complaint he had filed against a Congress legislator, Chief Minister Prem Kumar Dhumal said in the assembly Thursday.

Legislator Subhash Chand Manglet of Chopal constituency in Shimla district was Monday booked for intimidating a sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) and obstructing him from discharging his duties.

As the Question Hour began, Dhumal informed the house that the issue between the SDM and the legislator had been amicably settled.

“The government has no role either in registration of the case or withdrawal of the complaint. The SDM withdrew his complaint on his own,” he said.

Sporting black bands inside the assembly, the Congress members Wednesday staged a silent protest over the registration of the case. They also boycotted the proceeding of the house. Noisy scenes were witnessed over the issue Tuesday also.
