Bhopal, April 13 (Inditop.com) Over one lakh followers of Bhimrao Ambedkar are expected to gather at his birth place at Mhow near Indore on the occasion of his 119th birth anniversary April 14 – celebrated as ‘Ambedkar Mahakumbh’ for the past two years, officials said Tuesday.
The Madhya Pradesh government has made elaborate arrangements for the occasion.
Scheduled Castes/Scheduled Tribes Welfare Minister Vijay Shah reviewed preparations and directed the officials concerned to make arrangements for lodging and boarding of the followers coming from various places. The state government has also declared a public holiday Wednesday.
“All the preparations have been made for the Mahakumbh to be held on April 14 at Mhow in Indore district on the occasion of Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s birth anniversary. The visitors to the Mahakumbh will be treated like guests. They will be provided facilities of lodging, food and other public amenities,” Shah said.
