New Delhi, Jan 31 (Inditop.com) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Sunday underwent a routine medical checkup Sunday at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) here, almost an year after his coronary bypass surgery. Doctors said his tests were normal.

The prime minister went to AIIMS for routine medical evaluation, said an official of the Prime Minister’s Office.

Prime Minister’s personal physician K. Srinath Reddy told Inditop: “Several tests were conducted on him for cardiovascular assessment as a follow up to his redo coronary bypass surgery which was performed on him almost an year ago. All the tests were found to be normal.”

Singh, 77, was operated upon at the AIIMS last January to remove five arterial blockages. He was discharged Feb 1.
