Chandigarh, Sep 4 (IANS) The Punjab government Thursday announced an ambitious programme to set up kiosks under unified service delivery system to provide 200 citizen-centric services within a fixed time limit.

Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, after a meeting with senior officers here, said the kiosks will be operational by July 2015.
The programme will be part of the state’s governance reforms campaign under the Right to Service Act.
Badal said the programme was aimed at eradicating corruption and harassment of general public. He said most of the services will be provided online.
Chief Secretary Sarvesh Kaushal said 149 services were being provided at present at various facilitation centres of the Punjab government.
