Thiruvananthapuram, May 16 (Inditop) Former UN undersecretary general and Congress’ political debutant Shashi Tharoor was Saturday steadily edging towards victory from the Thiruvananthapuram Lok Sabha seat.

About two hours into counting, after 24 percent of the votes were counted, Tharoor’s lead in the Kerala capital had crossed 22,000 votes.

“The signs are really good… only after the final result is out will we know. But the good thing so far is that I am leading in all the seven assembly constituencies,” a beaming Tharoor told reporters.
