New Delhi, July 23 (Inditop.com) The central government is in the process of setting up a regulatory authority for biotechnology products and processes, Minister of Science and Technology Prithviraj Chavan informed parliament Thursday.
Replying to a question in Rajya Sabha, Chavan said: “The process is on to establish National Biotechnology Regulatory Authority (NBRA) through an act of parliament.”
The department of biotechnology under the ministry has been entrusted to act as the nodal agency for setting up NBRA.
