Bhubaneswar, Jan 26 (Inditop.com) Police Tuesday claimed to have identified a cyber cafe in Orissa capital Bhubaneswar from which a threatening e-mail was allegedly sent to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.

Patnaik had Monday received an e-mail threatening to kill him if a jailed woman Maoist is not released immediately.

“It was sent from a cyber cafe. We have identified it,” Bhubaneswar-Cuttack police commissioner B.K. Sharma told reporters, adding that efforts are on to locate the people involved in the act.

The e-mail’s sender had sought immediate release of Saswati Das, wife of Orissa’s most wanted Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda, who was arrested Jan 15.

The sender had threatened to kill Patnaik if he visited Cuttack, some 26 km from here, Tuesday to take the salute at the Republic Day parade.

Patnaik took the salute without any trouble, police said.
