Chandigarh, Sep 22 (Inditop.com) Two ministers of the Bhupinder Singh Hooda government in Haryana have filed their nominations for next month’s assembly election even before the ruling Congress announces the list of candidates.

Forests, Environment and Tourism Minister Kiran Chaudhary Tuesday filed her nomination papers as the Congress candidate from Tosham assembly constituency in Bhiwani district.

Her senior, Finance Minister Birender Singh, was even faster. He filed his nomination papers as the Congress candidate from Uchana Kalan in Jind district Saturday itself.

The official list of Congress candidates is expected later Tuesday evening.

Though both leaders are expected to be named as Congress candidates from these seats, the filing of their nominations even before the list is out has baffled other party leaders.

“I have no idea about this. The Congress list will be announced later today (Tuesday). Only these leaders can tell you why they filed their nominations before the list came out,” Haryana Congress spokesman Surender Singh Hooda said.

No other candidate, including Chief Minister Hooda, has filed nomination papers so far.

Incidentally, both ministers are seen to be on very good terms with Hooda.

Nominations for the 90-member assembly close Sep 25. Election will take place Oct 13.
