New Delhi, July 1 (IANS) US Senator John McCain will Wednesday begin a two-day visit to India, during which he will meet External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj.

US Secretary of State John Kerry is also expected to visit India in the next few weeks in an apparent bid to give a fresh momentum to bilateral ties after the formation of the BJP-led government.
External affairs ministry spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin Tuesday said Republican Senator McCain would meet Swaraj Wednesday.
He said Kerry was also likely to visit India and the dates of the visit were being finalised.
Kerry’s visit will come ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s meeting with US President Barack Obama in September.
