New Delhi, Feb 26 (Inditop.com) The budgetary allocation for Department of Space increased by over Rs.1,600 crore to Rs.5,778 crore with a five-fold hike in funds for the human space flight programme.
The union budget tabled in parliament Friday allocated Rs.150 crore for the manned space mission initiatives compared to Rs.30 crore last year.
The overall funding for the Department of Space saw a jump of over 27 percent to Rs.5,778 from Rs.4,167 crore last fiscal.
