Everyone is waiting for the next iPhone from Apple as also known as iPhone 6. There still has been no official word from Apple about the next iPhone, but we have a lot of leaked photos, renders, reports and news about almost everything to do with the iPhone 6. Let’s have a quick recap of all that we have come to know about the Apple iPhone 6 upto now.
For starters, Apple is touted to bring the iPhone 6 with bigger displays of 4.7 inches and 5.5 inches. This is a good move by Apple considering that flagship Android and Windows smartphones are now available in 5+” screen sizes. Also Apple is known to bring higher resolution displays to the next generation iPhone which is a huge welcome. If some reports are to be believed, Apple is planning to bring the screen resolution of 1704 x 960 to its new iPhones from here on which comes down to 416 and 356 ppi respectively for the 4.7” and 5.5”.
This pixel density falls under the category of the Retina Display technology from Apple though if Apple does keep the current resolution, Apps compatibility should be much better in that case. Though it is reported that Apple is testing the new resolution and it should work fine with it since most of the apps will be updated to the new resolution.Another interesting news on this front is the buying of Beats Audio by Apple. Apple has been since long criticized for not having its own music service as both Android and Windows has one in Spotify and Xbox Music & Nokia Mix Radio respectively. Beats Music though have a very small number of active users compared to other music services, but beats already has the licensing in order, so incorporating it should be very simple for Apple.
Among other speculations, there has been one in which Apple is touted to use the Sapphire glass in its iPhones. The advantage of using this is the unbreakable nature of this glass under extreme pressure and impacts. A curved display though is not going to make it on the iPhone 6. Apart from all this, the iPhone is going to get the regular fingerprint scanner, possible NFC, and better camera hopefully. There have been reports that Apple is bringing a better camera with possible OIS in it.
Apart from that Apple is also planning to bring out wearable devices along with the iPhone. For this Apple is seemingly taking help of professional athletes which is evident from the recent citing of Kobe Bryant in the Apple premises last week. This must surely be for the testing of the new fitness app. And since Apple has refused vacations for its employees for September, as they always do before or during a major launch, you can expect the latest iteration of iPhone and its other devices to launch at that time.
