Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 3 (Inditop.com) The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) symbolises nothing less than rockets, satellites and moon missions but when it comes to a professional need as simple as uploading contents on the website, the presitigious organisation seems to have bungled.

The 97th edition of the Indian Science Congress, organized by the ISRO and the Kerala University, was inaugurated by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh Sunday.

Former chairman of ISRO and president of the Indian Science Congress G. Madhavan Nair had categorically assured the media on Friday that speeches, abstracts of papers and other updates relating to event would be uploaded on to the web site www.isc2010.in.

“We expected that this would be done as it is a simple exercise. But the ISC website is yet to put up the information. It was the local Press Information Bureau which seems to have done its bit and immediately uploaded Singh’s speech on to their website,” said a journalist.

An official of ISRO, in charge of handling the website, said they are in the process of doing it.

As many as 7,000 delegates, including 3,000 students, are participating in the five-day event for which the budget is in excess of Rs.10 crore.
