Karachi, Sep 1 (Inditop.com) Former Pakistan Test pacer Mohammad Sami claims the Indian Cricket League (ICL) is yet to clear his dues of more than Rs.10 million.
Sami, 28, Tuesday said he has been making efforts to get his last few instalments from the unofficial Twenty20 league but to no avail.
The Karachi-based fast bowler said he has requested Moin Khan, a former Pakistan captain and ICL’s representative in the country, to get his dues cleared.
Sami, who took 81 wickets from 33 Tests besides picking up 118 wickets from 83 one-day internationals, said that he is regrets �sacrificing’ his international career to play for the rebel ICL.
“It was a bad decision because it ruined my international career,” said Sami, who was once counted among the fastest bowlers in international cricket.
“But now I cannot leave the league till the time my dues are cleared by them.”
Sami was one of the 28 Pakistani cricketers who switched allegiance to the cash-rich ICL and were later banned by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
However, earlier this year, the ICL players who broke ties with the league were allowed to return to national cricket by the PCB.
