New Delhi, Sep 19 (Inditop.com) All India Football Federation (AIFF)-appointed arbitrator Amarendra Sharan said Saturday that he would give his decision on the ongoing tussle between national captain Bhaichung Bhutia and his club Mohun Bagan next week.

After the fourth round of hearing that concluded here Saturday, Sharan told Inditop that Tuesday both the parties would submit their written arguments.

“I have to go through all the papers and I am hopeful of giving my decision by next Saturday. But if either of the parties is not happy with my decision, it can approach the high court,” Sharan, a former additional solicitor-general, said.

Asked if any interim relief could be given to Bhutia, Sharan said: “I have to see all the papers before making up my mind.”

The arbitration process started here Thursday after Sharan failed to convince Mohun Bagan and Bhutia for an amicable settlement.

The Kolkata club has suspended Bhutia for six months for missing an exhibition match and some practice sessions last season. Bhaichung appealed to the AIFF against the ban and federation president Praful Patel appointed Sharan to go into the issue.
