New Delhi, July 30 (IANS) A day after the Central Vigilance Commission reported major irregularities in 16 Commonwealth Games projects, Sports Minister M.S. Gill and Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit Friday refused to comment on the issue, saying they were not aware of it.
‘I am not aware of any such report. I don’t know from where you have got this,’ Dikshit told reporters.
Gill also told reporters that he was also not aware of the issue. ‘Let it (report) come first,’ he said.
The CVC report Thursday had put 16 Games projects under the scanner including the CWG village swimming pool, training hall, and athletic track, among others, which are the responsibility of the Delhi Development Authority (DDA), the renovation of Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium and SPM swimming pool – Central Public Works Department (CPWD), the upgrade of Talkatora Stadium under New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) and few other projects taken by the Public Works Department (PWD) and Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD).
