Chennai, Aug 30 (IANS) Thanks to centuries by Robert Fernandez (122) and Sachin Baby (151) and their 200-run partnership for the fourth wicket, Kerala piled up 401 for nine in their allotted 90 overs against Baroda in the semi-final of the Buchi Babu Trophy All-India cricket tournament here Thursday.
Earlier, Fernandez and Sanju Viswanadh (65) added 103 runs in 23.4 overs for the third wicket to set the tone for Kerala innings while left-arm spinner Bhargav Bhatt came away with four wickets for Baroda.
In the other semi-final, Mumbai were all out for 303 against Karnataka with Kaustubh Pawar (97) and Nikhil Patil Jr. (83) doing the bulk of scoring.
For Karnataka, leg-spinner Amit Verma picked up five wickets while left-arm spinner K.P. Appanna had a three-wicket haul.
