Kolkata, Nov 1 (IANS) Prayag United SC scored late to hold Churchill Brothers1-1 in an I-League game at the Salt Lake stadium in Kolkata Tuesday.
Substitute Sankar Oraon found the target in the 77th to cancel an first half goal netted by Churchill’s Lalrindika Ralte.
Prayag went on the attack from the start but James Singh’s free kick from close to the box ballooned over.
The Goans rallied back strongly and reaped rewards in the 15th minute when Opara Ndubuisi found Ralte inside the rival box and Ralte slotted it in.
Prayag looked more determined post breather as substitute Snehashish Dutta was a constant threat with his pace on the left flank.
Sanjoy Sen played his last card bringing in Oraon in the 77th minute and the change worked as the striker found the net less than ten minutes after being brought on.
