Kolkata, April 15 (IANS) Relegation-threatened Mohammedan Sporting entertain Shillong Lajong in a must-win fixture of the Airtel I-League at the Salt Lake Stadium Wednesday evening.
The Kolkata outfit ended a five-match winless streak over the weekend as they came from behind to record a vital 2-1 victory over fellow relegation contenders Rangdajied United.
But Mohammedan Sporting are still not safe yet as they are only two points ahead of rock-bottom Churchill Brothers despite playing an extra game.
Thus Mohammedan Sporting’s fate is not in their hands but they must win their remaining two fixtures to capitalise on any slip-up by Churchill Brothers.
