New Delhi, May 24 (IANS) India’s U-16 boys based at the IMG Academy in Florida went down fighting to USA U-17 1-0 in a practice football match.

According to information received here, India put up a brave fight during the friendly played Wednesday. Both the teams train at the same venue.
Coach Bitan Singh lauded the boys for putting up a brave fight.
“The boys played well. The USA U-17 boys are a class act. The match will only add to the confidence of our wards,” he said.

The boys based at the IMG Academy will join the U-16 preparatory camp for the AFC U-16 Final Phase under the watchful eyes of Colm Toal which kicks-off in Goa from June 1, 2012. India have been clubbed with Uzbekistan, China and Syria in the final phase.
