New Delhi, May 3 (IANS) IOS Sports and Entertainment, an Indian sports management group, has signed up country’s seven Olympic-bound athletes, including ace shooter Ronjan Sodhi, for a period a minimum three years.
Besides Sodhi, the others are women shooter Heena Siddhu, discus thrower Krishna Poonia, wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt, hockey captain Bharat Chettri, goalkeeper Ravindran Sreejesh and ace hockey striker SV Sunil.
IOS will handle their endorsements, media activities, rights and brand management.
“We are extremely proud of these associations and look forward to bringing our experience and expertise to bear in building the profile, image and brand of these athletes and then connecting each of these athletes with the brand that best suits their unique characteristics so that the endorsements that we bring to them suit their brand identity,” Neerav Tomar, Managing Director & CEO of IOS, said.
Chettri said: “With our focus solely on preparing for Olympics, it is a relief that our interests are looked upon by such a professional sports marketing firm, which has already done a fair bit in terms of commercial endorsements for our team mates.”
Sodhi too expressed his pleasure in joining hands with IOS.
“IOS’s track record in the industry is impressive and it was ultimately their previous accomplishments which convinced me to enter into an association with them. I look forward to a long and successful association,” he said.
Poonia, currently training in the US, said: “This young and dynamic team is full of energy, ideas and belief and I know that if I can perform on the field, IOS will leave no stone unturned in performing off the field on my behalf.”
“I am excited at joining hands with IOS and look forward to building a strong profile and brand for myself going forward,” said Yogeshwar on the occasion of this announcement.
