Kolkata, April 1 (IANS) Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) English import Eoin Morgan has fallen in love with Indian cuisine, so much so that he wants to try cooking himself.

“It is a beautiful country with beautiful people. The food here is fantastic just that it is little spicier. Though I have never tried, I would certainly like to try my hand at cooking Indian food,” Morgan said at an event here.
Describing the Indian Premier League (IPL) as spicier than the food, the southpaw said playing the tourney has enabled foreign players adapt to the Indian conditions.
“Gone are the days when foreign players would fall sick due to the spicy food here. We do so much travelling and also the international tours have helped us adapt to the food here,” he said.
An integral part of the England squad, Morgan said the shortest format of the game did not require any special preparations.
“The basics remain the same in all the formats. In Twenty20, it’s just that you have to be quicker as the game is so fast,” said Morgan, adding that the unity among the KKR teammates is the USP of the team.
Morgan, who grew up watching and idolising West Indian batting legend Brian Lara, described the Trinidadian as the best cricketer.
“I loved watching him play and whenever he played against us (England), I would wish that he scored big runs but we win the match,” Morgan said with a chuckle.
