Lahore, April 26 (Inditop.com) A local court here Monday summoned former Pakistan captain Shoaib Malik for selling invitational cards of his wedding reception.
Shoaib, who married Indian tennis star Sania Mirza earlier this month, has been asked to appear before the court May 3.
Additional session judge Muhammad Rafiq will hear the case against the cricketer, whose wedding with Sania has generated enormous interest in Pakistan.
Meanwhile, another petition was filed against Shoaib Malik at Lahore High Court for violating the one-dish rule and using excessive electricity for his wedding reception.
Hasan Shehzad filed the petition against the star couple. “It was sad to see a star violating rules,” said the petitioner, who is a Sialkot citizen where Shoaib hosted the reception Sunday night.
The Sania-Shoaib wedding has become the talk of the town and has generated unprecedented media hype in Pakistan.
