London, Jan 6 (DPA) Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed al-Nahyan has invested $632 million in Manchester City since buying the club in August 2008, it emerged on Wednesday.
A document filed with Companies House Dec 24 shows the transformation of $632 million which Mansour initially put into the club as loans into equity.
That covers inherited debt, the purchases of Robinho, Craig Bellamy, Nigel de Jong, Shay Given, Wayne Bridge, Gareth Barry, Roque Santa Cruz, Joleon Lescott, Carlos Tevez, Emmanuel Adebayor and Kolo Toure and other investment in the infrastructure at Eastlands.
Graham Wallace, City’s chief financial and administration officer, said City are “on a secure financial foundation that gives a tremendous platform to build from in future years”.
