Dubai, Feb 23 (Inditop.com) India’s Leander Paes and Czech Lukas Dlouhy have joined Mahesh Bhupathi and Max Mirnyi in the quarterfinals of the Dubai Tennis Championships.

The second-seeded Indo-Czech pair fought off a tough first set challenge from Polish pair Mariusz Frystenberg and Marcin Matkowski before winning 7-6(7), 6-3 here Monday.

Paes and Dlouhy now await the winners of the match between wildcard pair of India’s Rohan Bopanna and Pakistan’s Aisam-Ul-Haq Qureshi and Frenchman Arnaud Clement and Swede Robert Lindstedt.

Earlier Monday, third seeded Bhupathi and Belarussian Mirnyi defeated Mahmoud-Nader Al Baloushi and Abdullah Magdas of Kuwait 7-5, 6-0. They play the winner of the match between Swede Simon Aspelin and Australian Paul Hanley and Serbians Novak Djokovic and Dusan Vemic.
