Jaipur, Dec 1 (Inditop.com) The Professional Golf Tour of India Qualifying School for the 2010 season begins at the Rambagh Golf Club, here Wednesday and will be followed by the Final Qualifying Stage at the Golden Greens Golf and Country Club, Gurgaon, from Dec 8-11.
The First Qualifying Stage of Aircel-PGTI will be divided into Pre Qualifying I (Dec 3-4) and Pre Qualifying II (Dec 5-6), both 36 holes stroke play.
In all, 73 qualifiers from the two stages of Pre Qualifying will make it to the Final Qualifying Stage (72 holes stroke play) where they will be joined by 47 players who were exempt from the First Qualifying Stage.
In the Final Qualifying Stage, a maximum field of 120 players will play two rounds. After 36 holes, the field will be cut to the leading 80 players and ties for two further rounds.
At the conclusion of 72 holes, the leading players will be ranked in their respective category for 2010. The top 42 players from the Final Qualifying Stage will earn a full card for the 2010 Aircel-PGTI season.
