Jammu, Oct 21 (Inditop.com) At least three terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Mahre forests in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir early Wednesday morning, police said.
Acting on a tip off, the Jammu and Kashmir Police and the Indian Army launched a joint operation in Mahre forests, where a group of Hizb-ul-Mujahadeen terrorists were hiding. Three terrorists were killed in the gun-battle.
Mahre is about 150 km north of Jammu and is one of the places where militants are active.
“Search operations have been launched,” a police official told Inditop. He said that the police suspected there might be more terrorists hiding in the jungles, so the security personnel were moving with “extra caution”.
