Bhubaneswar, Feb 12 (Inditop.com) A woman Maoist guerrilla was among two rebels arrested in Kesinda area of Orissa’s Sambalpur district Friday, police said.
The woman Maoist was identified as A. Dehury alias Nalini Biswal.
“We have managed to arrest two Maoists. Of the two, Dehury was involved in several violent activities including the bombings of several public buildings,” Sambalpur Superintendent of Police Asit Panigrahi said.
According to police, the other arrested Maoist Bhabagrahi Sandha used to act as a linkman in extorting money from the contractors engaged in development work.
Police also seized Rs.339,500 in cash, Maoists literature and leaflets from them.
Dehury has a two-and-half-year-old child and is married to another Maoist leader Kunu Dehury.
