Delhi lieutenant governor V K Saxena nominated home minister Kailash Gahlot to hoist the national flag at the state Independence Day event at Chhatrasal Stadium. This decision may create conflict between the AAP government and the LG secretariat. The Delhi government had earlier declined to follow minister Gopal Rai’s instruction for education minister Atishi to host the flag.
