Jharkhand CM Hemant Soren has announced that the state will induct family members of Agniveers who die on duty into the state police force. This initiative makes Jharkhand the first non-BJP-ruled state to support the Agnipath scheme, which the central government says aims to maintain a youthful and fit armed forces.
