Bangladeshi actor Shanto Khan and his father Selim Khan were lynched by an angry mob in Chandpur, Bangladesh following the news of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s resignation. Selim, a notable film producer with ties to the Tollywood industry, had been working on several films, including ‘Commando’ starring Dev. Both men attempted to flee after opening fire but were caught and killed. Kolkata’s film community has expressed shock and grief over the incident. Dev, Bonny Sengupta, and other prominent figures shared their condolences and hoped for a return to normalcy in Bangladesh soon.
