Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin wrote to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, requesting an exemption for the state from conducting the NEET for admissions to medical colleges. Stalin emphasized that the selection process for professional courses should be through class 12 marks to alleviate the stress students face. In his letter to PM Modi, Stalin explained that this change would help “lift off unwarranted additional stress that students face.” Stalin’s request comes amid a nationwide uproar over NEET paper leak cases.
