Arjun Ram Meghwal, upon taking office as the law and justice minister on Tuesday, affirmed that implementing a uniform civil code (UCC) and conducting simultaneous elections across the country were part of the government’s plan. Both the UCC and ‘one nation, one poll’ were included in the BJP’s election manifesto.
