A 28-year-old man was arrested in Rajasthan for allegedly raping and murdering a 33-year-old nurse who had gone missing from Rudrapur. The victim’s sister filed a complaint on July 31, prompting an investigative team to search for the nurse. Her skeletal remains were found on August 8. Surveillance data led police to identify and apprehend the accused, who confessed to the crimes. He admitted to raping the nurse, strangling her with her scarf, and then smashing her head with a brick before fleeing with cash and her mobile phone. Police are investigating his criminal background.
